Huntington community is very close to Sabi Sands Game Reserve in Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga. This community has a population of approximately 3500 living in 827 households. Despite approx. 680 members of the community being of secondary school age, Huntington did not have its own high school. Students from the village had to walk an average of seven kilometres each day to attend school at Mabarhule High School in neighbouring Lillydale. With the need for a high school, located within Huntington identified by the community, a project committee was formed and in collaboration with the Mpumalanga Department of Education, Africa Foundation began the first stages of establishing a school. Africa Foundation is fundraising for additional classrooms to help increase the capacity of the school and to replace the aging prefab classrooms.
