Lukungu Secondary School, better known as Anton Mtaka Secondary School, was established in 2018 to address the lack of secondary schools in the area, children were expected to walk 20 km to and from school to the nearest school in Lamadi.
Africa Foundations is seeking funds to provide girls dormitories at the school to give these students the best opportunity to succeed at secondary level. By providing boarding facilities at the school, it removes the need to travel long distances, as well as creating an environment conducive to study. On site the students could also be guaranteed regular hot meals and time to complete homework with access to teachers and student mentors.

Africa Foundation with the help of the Government and the community have worked together to help establish the school, however because of the popularity of the school there is a challenge of overcrowding. The extra curriculum activities at the school include athletics track and field for both girls and boys, soccer for the boys and netball for the girls.
