The school was established in 2005 by members of the Saparingo Community to provide a place of education for their children, and it originally consisted of five classrooms that were the result of co-funding between World Vision and Community Development Forum. Current project underway is the construction of fencing which will close off the perimeter of the school and in addition, further secure the children’s dormitory areas and teachers accommodation. There will be also a gate house at the main gate for guards. The project is split into 2 Phases. Phase 1 will consist of the exterior fence and the guard house, and Phase 2 will consist of interior dividing fences that will separate the living spaces (accommodations) from the rest of the school.
Africa Foundation is fundraising for a block of 12 new toilets, the refurbishment of old classrooms. In addition we would like to ensure the school has a full water harvesting and water storage system for the school.
